| Recommended components in a programme assessment scheme
are described in the policy paper Assessment of
Student Learning in Taught Programmes. They include

a statement of programme learning outcomes that
cover appropriate areas of knowledge, skills and values;
|
| (ii) |
a course by learning outcome matrix showing
how each course in the programme contributes to achieving the
programme learning outcomes;
|
| (iii) |
a set of course outlines with course
assessment schemes;
|
| (iv) |
an overall programme assessment scheme summarizing
the proportion of each type of assessment strategy.
